The Philippines has made history again as Bianca Bustamante gets her first win in the Formula 1 Academy in Valencia, Spain.
18-year-old Bustamante is the first-ever Filipino to have won a Grand Prix in Formula 1 Academy, following her second-place podium finish in the prior week’s race in Austria.
She is now in 5th place in the Driver’s Standings, giving her a great boost on the last race for this round.
Before her incredible run so far in Formula 1 Academy, Bustamante competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship in the W Series last year. She has also qualified for the FiA Girls on Track Rising Stars in 2021.
The Formula 1 Academy allows women to race, compete, and prepare for competitions with the same scale as Formula 1.
While it is still early in the season, Bustamante shows great enthusiasm - ready to compete alongside the best.
