The massive sewer project called Mandaluyong West-San Juan-Quezon City South Sewer Project worth ₱4.2-billion was implemented by Manila Water aiming to ameliorate sanitation among communities in Metro Manila.
The 51-km sewer system will have a 60-million-liter-per-day capacity sewage treatment plant.
Supporting the network will be 1 major pump station, 13 lift stations, 276 interceptor boxes, and a 16-channel interceptor. The project works toward quality sanitation for its 7.6 million-and-counting customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and parts of Rizal, and is expected to serve 704,260 additional residents in Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Quezon City by 2037.
