Valorant is a game where cosmetics are a huge deal. From eye-catching name cards to show- stopping gun skins. There were many bundles that received a great deal of love; a few of them were Prime, Glitchpop, Reaver, and RGX. Now, these skins have something in common and that is second bundles. Having another collection of the same design means that the skin is a huge success and the player base wants more, and it looks like Riot Games is listening.
On October 18, 2022, Valorant announced their 9th 2.0 bundle, surprising the players by revealing an Ion skin reveal video titled “The New Era”. Featuring Jett with an Ion suit wielding the featured guns which are Vandal, Frenzy, Spectre, Ares, and the new Ion karambit. Many fans are thrilled to get their hands on this new bundle, but like any other release, the Ion 2.0 got its fair share of dislikes. Under the official Valorant Twitter post, fans seem to notice the map Split rather than the skin itself; and a lot of people detest the variant it offers that they are even pointing out its similarities to battle pass skins. Will it be like its predecessors bagging up huge amounts of money or will it be a flop?
Even if Ion cannot surpass other 2.0 sales, there are still other skins that people might crown as the best bundle yet. Oni is a fan favorite and has been in the game for ages, as the masses are patiently waiting for Riot to announce its second bundle. Players are brainstorming what guns could be added to this bundle and one Twitter user brought Oni 2.0 to life with their amazing work. Artist @Thyros_exe from Twitter made a whole bundle using Blender featuring the Oni 2.0 bundle with a Katana, Vandal, Classic, Operator, and a Dagger. They have also made animations for the weapons showing what Oni 2.0 might look like when it’s animated. Aside from Oni, they also made an Ion fanart before Ion 2.0 came out, where Riot might have found their inspiration.
Another anticipated skin is the Singularity, loved by many for its galaxy finisher and the first-ever skin with animated parts. The original bundle costs 8,700VP and it contains a Dagger, Sheriff, Phantom, Spectre, and an Ares. The idea of having its second bundle with Vandal and other guns made people excited to see this concept back. Valorant might also add new color varieties for this skin following its pattern from Ion 2.0.
How about you gamer, what are the skins that you want to have a second bundle?
