Raise our flag, CARATS! Our Kings are back!

After months of waiting since their last complete member comeback with their repackaged album, ‘Sector 17’ with ‘_World’ as their lead song, the Kings of Synchronization SEVENTEEN comes back with their most mature and robust 10th mini-album, FML. The group introduced their first-ever double title track, “Super” and “F*ck My Life.” SEVENTEEN marked their official comeback last April 24, 2023, as they dropped their music video for one of their title tracks, “Super,” a song with a traditional beat combined with a modern melody. Their outstanding visuals and undefeatable performance resulted in another supreme masterpiece that will curve in the history of K-POP.

As the CARATS claimed, this is one of SEVENTEEN’S best and most powerful comebacks yet. And not to mention, Woozidans (WOOZI’s Fans) declared this comeback as WOOZI’s era. Starting with the fact that they reached another milestone with more than 4.64 million pre-orders, surpassing BTS’ 2020 hit album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7. And not only did they use more than 200 dancers for their fiery performance, but had WOOZI as the opening act - something that every CARATS are dying to see especially with the King vibes he gave.

CARATS are also experiencing LSS (last song syndrome) with the “Super” catchy beat, the never-ending ‘DARUMDARIMDA’ and Jeonghan’s rap line that made the whole CARATS go wild.

SEVENTEEN successfully conveyed another meaningful life lesson and comfort to the youth and the inspiring story that brought them to where they are now; the path they choose to love and protect. While their “F*ck My Life” was so beautiful despite the risk within the song, the whole group was very confident and eager to push and conquer the possible difficulties and worries behind it. A song that’s very vocal and honest with all their struggles is comforting in a way - with the chilling feeling and ‘swabe’ vibes evident throughout the song.

Kudos to WOOZI as he once again challenged himself along with the group with this comeback, not to mention the risk involved in it with this comeback knowing the fact of using profanity within this mini-album and it’s their first ever double title track, making it too risky for them yet they still manage to overcome it. With this comeback, SEVENTEEN released six songs having both “Super” and “F*ck My Life” as their title tracks, followed by unit tracks “Fire” by the HipHop Unit, “I Don’t Understand But I Luv U” by the Performance Unit, “Dust” by the Vocal Unit, and lastly a full group song, entitled “April Shower.”

Of course, other than the two title tracks, another song that stood out to me due to its meaning and melody was “Dust” from the Vocal Unit. With its pleasing and calming tune and beautiful voices that blended perfectly together, they produced a soothing song that listeners would surely fall for.

Once again, SEVENTEEN had outdone themselves and reached another unforgettable milestone, not only for their group but also for CARATS. And after seeing the music video for “Super” and their trailer for this comeback, it made me excited for their upcoming music video dedicated to their other title track, “F*ck my Life,” that will soon be released. What do you think? What are your thoughts about it? And what’s your favorite song from their 10th mini-album? Share your thoughts and see what our co-CARATS feel about this comeback!
