Blizzard took the entire gaming community by storm when they announced the official launch of Overwatch 2. The game was advertised as free and will include a battle pass and other in-game purchases, unlike the original where you have to buy the game itself and receive free items based on how much you grind. Downloading Overwatch 2 was easy but a problem arose when it came to its servers. People were sent to the queue to wait for their turn to finally enjoy the world of Overwatch but waiting for minutes turned into hours and there were cases where the game put its players back in line when it's supposedly their turn to play the game.
Developers are reportedly doing maintenance every hour to ensure the fun will continue for every player. As of now, the servers are still buggy kicking players out midgame and costing them penalties that could’ve been avoided. But even though there are problems with the servers, gamers are still lining up to have a Play of the Game.
Out with the good news, Overwatch has given people a chance to obtain in-game cosmetics for free by watching Twitch streamers play the game. Make sure to connect your account to Twitch to obtain a free Kiriko voice line, Kiriko Razor Sharp Spray, Kiriko Donut Charm, and a Kiriko Legendary Skin. Remember to check the tags and look for “Drops enabled” to guarantee your rewards.
More information about the battle pass for all the peeps that like rewarding themselves. The premium pass that costs $10, approximately 500-600 pesos, consists of 80 tiers containing skins, weapon charms, emotes, poses, name cards, player icons, voice lines, a 15% XP boost, souvenirs, sprays, play of the game, and immediate access to Kiriko.
For gamers like me who like saving money, there are free tier rewards for you! It contains about everything in the premium pass minus some skins and the XP boost. You can also unlock Kiriko at tier 55.
All in all the launch can be called a success with the huge amount of support it got from its first week. It might’ve been a bumpy road but the developers are doing their best to upgrade the servers. Hopefully, players can experience a smooth gaming experience in the following week.
Have fun playing Overwatch 2 everyone! See you in game.
