NBA finals tied at 1-1 between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets

The most anticipated match between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets was a tie at 1 - 1 after two games at the Ball Arena in Denver.

After the big Game 1 win by Denver, no one thought that Miami could handle the dominance of 2-time MVP Nikola Jokić, alongside superstars Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon, and yet here they are with a two-point win in Game 2 to tie the series and shift the momentum back to their side as they head home to the Kaseya Center, the home arena of the Miami Heat.

Both teams are making history. For Denver’s side, this is their first NBA Finals appearance, as well as for the players, and their star, Jokić, has made history in his debut game to be the first person to record a triple-double in a debut finals game since Jason Kidd back in 2003.

They are the only two players to have ever done this in the history of the NBA.

Miami is only the second team to have reached the NBA Finals as an 8th-seeded team.

They also broke several records this year, such as having the most postseason wins as an 8th seed and being the first team to have a road game win as an 8th seed.

Most critics and sports fans have written off both of these teams despite Denver having the best record in the regular season, and Miami considered “lucky” to be in the playoffs to begin with; yet here they are, in the biggest stage of their league, competing for the most prized trophy.
