Whenever reality kept showing itself I’m constantly reminded How failure has blinded The passion once fervent Beat in rhythms unturned But now cannot be heard Howling of love and desire As it is now a hostage Bound by bitterness Tortured by weakness Bleeding out love Alone in the dark Where there was no one to listen
And yet, people say I deserve it… Thus, the fool listened.
I drank words that were poisoned Flavored in lies and ecstasy Clawing in madness and fantasy Where the abyss lies in wait For I, to embrace my hate To an edge where I can be forgotten Lost and unforgiven.
Yet it is I who exiled myself Pretended that I can’t change As lies were my succor, And none is its successor. Creating a world with only shame When none weighs on my name
And so, when the sun rose again This time, I came to greet the dawn As my home waits For its legend to return. Et, tu, Will you too?
